Inside Pt. VII

For the first time this entire journey Sec was looking back at him. Her silent partner seemed different after the red door, he stood closer now, more walking with her than leading her. Sec could almost sense a buzz of anticipation around him.

Sec’s intuition seemed to be correct, she hadn’t seen another door in quite some time. Something deep down in her told her they were nearing the end of this, she could almost feel the mind of the man she knew getting closer. She didn’t know what the end result of all this would be, she hoped this meant she was about to get her partner back, but for all she knew this could just be her final farewell with him.

They walked forward through the twisting landscape, both knowing their destination lay straight ahead of them.
